We are an expanding web development technology based company seeking a Development Manager to direct a small developing team of programmers and web designers. We are looking for an individual who is looking to make a big impact on a fast growing technology company. We are a high volume web development company that is looking to bring in the right person to streamline our processes. We also work about 6 large application development projects a year and need the right Web Development Manager to make sure we are ready to grow this side of the business.This is a hands-on position and will require alot of work to enhance our current processes. If you’re up for the challenge you will be rewarded.What you will be doing:* Directs and guides daily activities and act as a hands on delivery leader, you will be working on programming projects, along with your team.* Develops project plans and scope including time estimates based on functional requirements and monitors and supervises the assigned team of software engineers developing project plans
* Coordinates the evolution of technical designs and code components to support detailed specifications and functional/non-functional requirements
* Participates directly with various staff in the creation of end to end architecture, technical designs and code components for enterprise-scalable applications
* Ensures development of reusable code design, leverages application architecture / framework capabilities and functionality
* Ensures that assigned team follows coding standards and that code reviews are performed
* Ensure test cases are being written and executed.
* Works with architects to ensure proper design
* Works with other teams to coordinate deliverables
* Identifies potential issues and risks and solves technical hurdles
* Formulates options to mitigate issues and risks
* Mentors team members and supports professional development plans
* Conducts performance evaluation and provides feedback to team members
* Prepares and provides verbal and written status reports as necessary
* Performs other duties as necessary or as assignedWhat you need for this position: Education: BS/BA in computer information technology, computer science, management systems, management or a related discipline.Experience:* Seven or more years of experience in developing commercial software solutions for large enterprise applications and with corresponding SDLC concepts
* Three or more years experience leading developers in the development of web applications for a Web Development firm or relevant experience.
* Three or more years experience in web based business application design and development and with hands-on development experience in PHP/MySQL development
* Must have Ajax, CSS, HTML, Jquery, Javascript Framework, experience
* Experience working in a Web Development fast production environment
* Desired experience in Search Engine Optimization, Database Administration, and Content Management Systems such as Wordpress, Druple, Joomla.Skills:• Linux• Apache• PHP/MySQL based architectures• Web Content Management System Development• Strong ability to translate requirement specifications and/or user requirements into a formal design document.• Demonstrated ability to estimate coding cycles and work in a team based environment.• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, identifies issues, and provides recommendations.• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with end users to transform requests into robust solutions• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to speak to customers to translate programming specification into written documentation, database designs, and use cases so that programmers can complete work
