Job Description

Our cutting edge web development team is looking for an Interactive Web Design Director to join our team. The ideal candidate is a highly independent self-starter with at least 5 to 7 years of experience and has a great sense of humor. Our team is made up of a motivated group of close-knit professionals who work hard every day to provide an intuitive and innovative experience for the customer that drives conversion.

The primary focus of this position is to oversee the creative development and creative execution process for our clients. Specifically, needs to interpret the marketing objectives of each business to efficiently direct web designers/developers in developing designs, which communicate customer-focused messages to drive communication and sales. Needs to continually increase the creative benchmark, setting new standards to elevate creative executions and enhance the delivery of our voice in the marketplace. You’ll help lead our team to provide innovative and inspired designs from wireframe to mock-up to launch that are on strategy and executed as required.

What we’re looking for:

• Five to Seven years experience in web interface and layout design

• A Bachelor’s degree (or comparable work experience) and experience in a web-related environment

• Strong design background

• Online portfolio that displays an understanding of user-centered design

• Advanced knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator

• Advanced understanding of HTML/CSS, with direct experience optimizing design concepts around these technologies as well as web based standards by groups such as W3C

• Advanced understand of cross browser compatibility with browsers such as Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Internet Explorer and and understanding of how to trouble shoot presented problems.

• Dreaweaver, In Design, Visio and Flash experience a plus

• Willingness to work closely with project managers, developers, copywriters and others to produce a team-driven end product that leads to a top-notch user experience

• Must be able to deliver high quality work consistently and on time

• An appreciation for the excellence that the above collaboration can produce

• Attention to detail, while also considering the big picture

• Excellent communication skills

• Self-motivated with positive attitude

• Ability to prioritize work

Although production work is occasionally part of the daily responsibilities of this position, the Interactive Web Design Director will routinely be called upon to lead and/or create cutting-edge designs that align with the brand of a clients site while enhancing the user experience.
