HomeAid Charlotte’s website, Homeaidcharlotte.org is the multifaceted hub for the organization. Here, users can get involved and submit donations. Also, a Shelter Care Assistance Application can be filled out via website. This exclusive feature of the site offers a quick and easy option for shelters, houses and condos to request assistance.
For those who are unfamiliar with HomeAid Charlotte (HAC) they act as a conduit between the non-profit care providers of the homeless and the building community. HAC recruits a Builder Captain from the Home Builder Association of Charlotte’s membership, and together they enlist vendors and suppliers to donate their materials and labor for the construction of a shelter or other types of housing. Typically, HAC is able to help the care provider build or renovate their property for about half of what it would normally cost.
HAC is very well managed and productive organization that has done and will continue to do wonderful things for the homeless in the Charlotte community.
