You Really Outdid Yourself Google: Today’s Google Doodle Honoring Les Paul
Google shines today with their possibly, BEST YET, Google Doodle! The doodle honors what would be the 96th Birthday of musician and innovator, Les Paul. Hover your mouse over the strings to play the “instrument”. The best feature is the record button which is shown as a black box under the logo. By clicking the box you can record your own 30 second jingle with your mouse or by typing (which we found particularly fun as who doesn’t want to mash on their keyboard now and then?). Google provides a link to your recorded song which you can send to friends to show off your work of art. What’s even more interesting, your friends can actually become your duet partner playing along with your recording. Google’s inspiration for this was Les Paul’s technique of overdubbing for the first time in the 40’s.
Here is our tune we created by typing “Web Full Circle”: http://goo.gl/doodle/EjII. We can’t wait to hear the masterpieces that are sure to be created by playing with today’s Google Doodle!
Happy Birthday to Les Paul and way to go Google for brightening up our work day with Google Doodle’s interactive tunes.
